Brian-- over at "A Runner's Blog"-- posted this little game-- thought I would carry it on. It's about where you blog
Sadly-- I do most of my blogging at work-- Yikes!! There's also a few questions attached to the game:
What are you wearing right now? Shirt, Tie-- and make-up. Yes Make-up, I am getting ready to go on the air.. I swear I do not go out in public with it on!
What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading? "A Race Like No Other" 26.2 miles through the streets of New York
Do you nap a lot? Not at all! Not sure why-- I am wired strangely and always "on the run" until I hit the bed at night and collapse.
Who was the last person you hugged? My dog, Daino.
What’s your current obsession/addiction? Running, Running, and eating.
What was the last thing you bought? Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, Wait, I should add that to addictions above.
What are you listening to right now? A newsroom abuzz with activity-- it's close to news time so it's crazy in here-- people yelling back and forth.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? The power to fly
What time do you usually wake up? 7:51 AM
Name one thing you can’t live without. Honey Bunches of Oats :)
What time is bed time? Weekdays, 10pm. Weekends, varies.
If there was one place you could be right now, where would it be? Right here in Buffalo! I know lame-- couldn't think about anywhere else at this moment.

I haven't had Honey Bunches of Oats in FOREVER. Now I want to pick up a box! :)
ReplyDeletePatrick... is that a current pic of your desk? It looks suspiciously like one we've seen before here after a particularly adventurous cleaning bee...
ReplyDeleteLoved learning those new things about you! Can you please whack up a pic of your dog??
I had to smile at your choice of reading. I'm afraid my reading has been pretty similar since starting running - pretty much everything is about running. I've gone from a devotee of contemporary literary fiction to... Dean Karnazes and anything written by the team at Runners World... :)
Very nice, but we have indeed seen it before. Still looking mighty clean, though.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question about two-a-days, I instituted them in March when I started running afternoons with my daughter. I've heard you almost have to do it when you go over 50 miles a week and I'm planning on 100 miles per week in the fall, so I figured I may as well get used to them. Even though I'm only at 40 miles per week now, it's a convenient way to get the miles in. The added bonus is that when you do raise your weekly mileage, you've got a lot of places to put those extra miles. It's not so intimidating adding 1 mile to six workouts. I highly recommend it if you can fit it in your schedule. You do need to work into it slowly, though. Start by doing only 1 or 2 days with two workouts.
